To carry out inspection of work from goods in / contract review, throughout processing and at final inspection.
You will work closely with the Quality Manager and colleagues to ensure that the companies Quality systems and procedures are followed, and customer requirements met.
Ideally the successful candidate will have some experience of working within a Quality Department and knowledge of internal / external audits. Experience of finishing processes – especially coatings or shot peening – would be beneficial but full training would be given to the right candidate.
Experience of working within engineering, motor sport, other finishing processes would also be an advantage.
To assist the Quality Manager and quality colleagues in the day to day running of Sandwell‘s quality system
Inspection of work at all critical stages from process approval, masking, and final inspection/packaging for dispatch.
Ensure that documentation and processing comply with customer requirements, good practice, Sandwell‘s established process standards, and provided specifications.
Assist with demasking and minor rectification of coated parts as directed by senior colleagues.
Assist quality colleagues with all other key elements affecting process quality, ensuring they are carried out as specified and records maintained. (e.g., daily oven temperature traces, media condition checks)
