This is an exciting opportunity to work for a specialist engineering business. Experience of working within an engineering environment and/or previous experience of maintenance is not essential as full training will be given.
Main objectives
To assist the Maintenance Manager to undertake maintenance tasks necessary. This will range from routine safety checks, to regular scheduled maintenance of machines and assisting with development projects within the factory.
Main responsibilities
Media control: This will include grading of shot and other media – and procedures associated with control of media.
Changing shot supplies in machines (emptying, cleaning down, replacing media) as dictated by production schedule.
Undertake routine strip down, clean, inspect of machines in accordance with Maintenance matrix. Implementing repairs as necessary.
Stock Control: maintain stock levels of all peening media/aluminium oxide/glass bead.
Housekeeping:
Helping to maintain a clean and tidy area around workshop areas throughout the factory complete cleaning tasks in line with cleaning schedules.
Health & Safety: Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
General:
Assist with moving and handling – deliveries in/out.
